About Beach and sun safety
Rip currents are the main hazard on Australian beaches and can sweep even strong swimmers out to sea, GOV.UK warns: swim only between the red and yellow flags at patrolled beaches. In the sun, follow Cancer Council’s “Slip, Slop, Slap, Seek, Slide”: shirt, sunscreen, hat, shade and sunglasses. Bushfire risk is highest from November to February.
Opening hours, prices and seasonal openings change, so please check with Beach and sun safety before you go.
